How to build authority in AI search
Models cite what they can corroborate. Authority is now an engineering problem as much as an editorial one.

Corroboration over publication
Publishing a claim is no longer the same as establishing it. Generative systems weight information that appears consistently across independent, credible sources. A single well-written page carries little weight against a corroborated pattern.
This changes the shape of a content programme: fewer, deeper assets, distributed and referenced widely, rather than a high-frequency blog nobody cites.
If a claim exists in only one place on the internet, a model will treat it as an opinion.
Entity clarity
Before a model can recommend you, it must know unambiguously what you are. Inconsistent naming, conflicting descriptions and absent structured data force the system to guess — and it usually guesses in favour of a better-defined competitor.
The compounding curve
Authority is slow and then sudden. The first months produce structural work with little visible return; the following quarters produce citation patterns that are difficult for competitors to displace.
